For many years, Myrna, Sam, and their children moved with the Air Force. This included Louisiana, England, South Carolina, Massachusetts, and finally Texas. Myrna taught Sunday school and was active in her children's school and activities. After her son grew up, she attended Floral School and was a talented florist until 1978. At that time, Myrna began her career at Datapoint and worked in the Domestic and International Departments until her retirement.
Myrna was an accomplished seamstress, making clothes for herself and her family. This included prom dresses and a beautiful wedding dress for her daughter.
Over the years, Myrna had many hobbies, including ceramics, needlework, quilting, and gardening. Myrna was a talented quilter. She hand-knitted many beautiful quilts for her home and her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was very proud of them.
Myrna was very proud of the dollhouse she built with her husband, Sam. She built each piece of furniture with great care. Later in life, she was an avid reader, often reading a book in one day.
