Olga B. Fowler, a long-time resident of Converse, Texas, died on Tuesday the 28th of June at the Army Residence Community. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on December 24, 1920, Olga married Lt. Col. Lester D. Fowler on April 21, 1948. She was a secretary and served both at the Pentagon and the White House during the Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon administration. She loved traveling the world, socializing, and working in the Army Residence Community’s library. She also enjoyed serving as host for dinner parties for her friends and family. Olga was preceded in death by her parents, Mamie Trigg Baygents and James Walter Baygents, and her husband. Graveside services and interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 9:00 am. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Army Residence Community. Memorial gifts may be made payable to the ARC Library Fund or the ARC Endowment Assistance Fund.
