

Col. Peter Cotellesse, 89, of San Antonio, Texas, passed peacefully April 19. He was born in Sibley, Michigan, April 15, 1922, attending Lincoln Park High School. He received his B.A. from the University of Maryland, and his M.S. from George Washington University. Peter married Jeanne Vecchiato in 1942.
Peter served in the Air Force 1945 to 1975, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross, Legion of Merit, and Air Medal. He served as National Adjutant-General of the Order of the Daedalians 1978-89.
Peter is survived by his wife, Jeanne Cotellesse; his children, David and Mimi Cotellesse, Suzan Cotellesse and Aaron Lowery, Houston, Texas, Robert Cotellesse, and John and Susan Cotellesse, Universal City, Texas; his grandchildren, Kimberly and Kevin Farris, Brett Cotellesse, Sharena and Neil Payne, James Cotellesse, Andrew and Josie Yount, and Katharine Yount; his great grandchildren, Kieran, Kaitlyn, Kylie, Kaeden and Kaemgen Farris; and his siblings, Rose Milantoni and Nick Cotellesse.
His funeral will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas, April 28, 1:30 pm, with visitation at Colonial Funeral Home, Universal City, Texas, April 25, 5-9 pm, and Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Selma, Texas, April 26, 10 am. Contact Colonial Funeral Home (210-658-7037).
