

Robert was born to James and Ida Andrews on April 2, 1937 in Attleboro, Mass. After graduating high school in 1955 he joined the Air Force and served for 21 years. While in the Air Force, he served a tour in Vietnam. He met and married his loving wife Bernadette with her four sons James (9), Robert (8), David (7) and Stephen (2). Together they had 1 daughter, Bernadette. After retiring from the Air Force as Master Sergeant, Robert continued his career with LSI as a mechanic and aircraft inspector for 20 years at Randolph Air force base. His LSI co-workers and military friends fondly knew him as “Andy”. Robert (Bob) and Bernadette (Bernie) were blessed with 53 years of marriage where they shared the joy of 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Bob and Bernie bowled on many leagues throughout their marriage. He owned a boat and enjoyed taking his kids water skiing at Canyon Lake almost every weekend. Bob enjoyed playing with his many grandchildren. He loved watching western movies and reading western books, especially those by Louis L'Amour. He loved gardening and grew vegetables and roses.
Bob, Dad, Grandpa, you will be dearly missed.
Robert will be honored in a celebration of life at Colonial Funeral home Friday April 15th from 6-8pm. A service will be held at Grace Community Church on Monday April 18th at 10 am with a burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
