Most people I meet think I’m the funniest person they have ever met. My dad didn’t like that he wanted me to be more serious. But he did tell me on more than one occasion that I missed my calling and should be on stage making lots of money. 

Me and dad didn’t have a lot in common but the one thing we did was the Air Force. Without knowing it his service and heroism to this country inspired me to join and serve this country too. I am very Proud of his service and all he did for our family in a difficult situation. I mean who would marry a woman with 4 young boys, he did. He once told me that he hoped I would marry a woman with lots of kids and I said that’s not going to happen. Well he got his wish.. I got married and went from 0 to 4 kids. But I’m glad his wish came true because it’s been the blessing of a lifetime. Thanks Dad

I am having trouble believing that my wonderful husband Bob is really gone to his heavenly home. He was so alive the day before he died.  We had a running joke between us. He thought I should go first.of course I thought he should go first. Bob won.  We were so in love for such a very long time, how do I begin to go about my daily life alone. I have been very blessed with the large family I have, so I know they will help me.  God has been very good to us, and he is still good to me.
There is so many nice things I could say about Bob  and I, mostly he loved our family  our ready made family for him. He always said he was getting hit in Viet Nam every day and missed but was getting ganged up at home with a problem of kind or another.  A typical family for sure.  Bob loved fishing at Canyon Lake when he could get away, I have to say, he never brought any home. He threw them back, thank goodness. I did not want to clean them , ugh. Why do men like fishing any way. ( sorry men) Bob also loved bowling so did I. He bowled better and more than me. 
I will close now and thank all the friends and family who attended the viewing and the Beautiful Funeral service, I was extremely impressed by the Funeral Service, everything was perfect. My husband of 53 years would have been very proud.  God bless everyone and God bless America. Thank. You so much.

Grandpa - thank you for always being so welcoming, loving and joyful when I was around. You never ceased to put a smile not only on my face but everyone that was in your presence. I will never forget the fun we had together, summers spending most days in the pool or finding you in your back room watching an old western movie. You will be dearly missed but we have comfort knowing you are rejoicing in the heavens preparing a place for us. I love you! -Ann Marie

I met Mr. Andrews in August 1987,  during my first  of many visits to the Andrews/Abbott household.  We spent what seemed like several hours watching a new show called the Weather Channel, and talking about the weather in San Antonio and Ft. Worth. He also told me and updated me about the Edwards Aquifier and how it may be running low. He also had a great passion for his yard, bushes and trees. I recently 
said that he didn’t have a green thumb, but rather 
a green hand.

Ruben Ruiz

First time I met Bob and Bernie was in 1983 through a roommate that knew Steve and the Family pretty well. The place we were staying had contaminated water and we asked Bob if he would allow us to shower and clean up for a few days until we got a different place to live. We were welcomed in with open arms. 1988 I started at LSI at Randolph where I met up with Bob again and formed a working relationship with him. He helped guide me on being a better mechanic by pointing out my mistakes. There were a few times where he had ask me to join him at bar to see his son Jim and his band play.  He invited me to his home on Christmas Eve one year and every year after that I was invited to show up. Years later Bob retired from LSI but would still call me to see how I was doing and how things were going at hangars. When I did pop in and visit the family in his later years I would sit with Bob and talk about memories of those days gone by and let him know the goings on with how things changed after the civil service took over maintenance program on the T-38s. I can honestly say that I miss those chats with him. 

I will forever cherish all the memories we had together.. Thank you for building the family we have today; we each have the best memories in your home. Thank you for loving Grams in all the years you had together.

My favorite memories of my childhood were always at your house. I will forever cherish those times spent with the family, in the pool and grandpa always pouring beer on top of our heads. 

Dad was tough growing up, he was pretty strict on us, he made the rules and they would be followed or punishment would follow..We all gave him plenty grief in some form or fashion growing up, but he still loved us all as his own flesh and blood, so as much as I disliked him at times, as I grew older and wiser I knew he was looking out for all our best interests. We all turned out pretty good and have always been a pretty tight family..I love u dad 🥰

I finally had a real job and was outa the nest for good. I think he was as happy about that as he was that I made I through the academy. Our relationship changed for the better, he was much cooler as a visiting son than he was a son that had been in the nest maybe a tad to long..Miss you dad..Love 💕 u dad, hopefully ur resting comfortably watching a good western 🤠❤️

Gramps was always particular about his yard and having everything done just the right way.  When I was younger and he worked nights, Grams would call me when he left and I'd sneak over to cut the yard.  Many years later after he lost the ability to walk on his own, I'd head over early in the morning to cut their grass before doing mine and this pic reminds me of how even after years of me doing the yard.  No matter what, he'd be out there following me around making sure i didn't miss anything.  It's because of him that i still take pride in my yard and still do my yard the same as i used to do his.  Love you Gramps.

He was a great man, whom along with his wife, had my brother and I over and loved us unconditionally. Some of my favorite memories as a child were those summer days and nights spent at the house. He would be with us out back while we ran around the yard or while we were swimming in the pool. I remember times I would watch how he was with my siblings and how I felt happy in those moments. I watched how they took turns on his lap or how he would have my sister in a floaty around the pool making sure she never got too hot. That shows you how big his heart was and how the love of family meant so much to him. His personality was truly one of a kind and all the smiles and hugs I was met with I’ll never forget. I know that I always left there happy and laughing from all the smart jokes he would say or just because being there felt like a home where I was always welcome and invited. Even later in life after nights out with my sister, having sleep overs or the random stops by I made nothing changed. He will be missed, loved and who forever will hold a special place in my heart. At this time my thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, along with my siblings, Kacie, Tyler and their mom Berna along with all the family. 

Mr. Andrews, You have the honor of going down in my history as my favorite  Patient. Taking care of you was not a job it was a privilege, You were always happy to see me And I loved your jokes. Every visit would end the same, I would turn to leave And I would tell him, " ok, I'll see you later, behave yourself" and he would give me this  Mischievous grin and then I would say "ok, just a little. "  His response would always be the same: "Well where's the fun in that!"  I will never forget you. You were family. Rest well my friend until we meet again. Love you Ms. Bernie. Spent night at Bob's when we were kids.Mrs Andrews cooked breakfast. We sat down at table and she had cooked goose eggs. one of those would have been enough for all. it was fun telling our friends.
