Roy joined the United State Army in 1952 and served until 1955. He later worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad Company. He earned a master’s degree in law enforcement. He was dedicated to his family and his faith. He was a Deacon Elder at Covenant Baptist Church.
Roy Briggs is preceded in death by son, David Briggs; grandson, Jeff; his parents, Lloyd and Gladys; and his brother Jack Briggs. To carry on his memory is his wife of 69 years, Helen Briggs; daughters, Connie James, Sharen Truitt, and Judy Thomas.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Colonial Funeral home on Saturday, July 27, 2024 beginning at 4pm. All are welcome to join in celebrating the life of Roy.
