Stephanie Diane Walker Hamilton

Stephanie passed on to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21 at 6:18 PM. She made an instant impression on people with her tough exterior, but in reality, there wasn’t a kinder person who was so willing to give of herself to others. In her youth, Stephanie was part of the Gardendale Volunteer Fire Department, and later became a Certified Nursing Assistant so that she could care for the elderly in hospice. Her greatest joy was helping others. As evidenced by her Facebook wall, Stephanie had extensive friends whom she considered family, in addition to her large extended family. She was greatly loved by all and will be missed without measure by those left behind, but we all know she will be waiting to greet us all in heaven when we see her again.

Preceded in death by: Eloise Hoerster (grandmother), Stephen Duane Walker (father) and Joseph Lauber (uncle)

Surviving Relatives: Marilyn Sue Walker (mother), Donna Taylor (sister), John Walker (brother), Jeannette Walker (sister-in-law), Katrina Taylor and Mina Walker (nieces), Alexander Walker (nephew), Cole Hamilton (stepson) and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, May 24, 2013 from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. with a funeral service at 7:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Gooch Cemetery in Mason, Texas
