He is survived by his wife of 37 years Cynthia Halstead; son: David Halstead (Saundra); daughters: Vanessa Friday (Terry) and Jackie Hall (Marty); 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Monday, May 20, 2013 at Colonial Funeral Home from 8 to 10:30 am. Funeral services to be held Monday, May 20, 2013 at 10:30am. Burial will take place Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Dallas\Ft. Worth National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
