

Vincil Ray Krippendorf, age 86, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Northeast Methodist Hospital in Live Oak. Ray was born in San Antonio on September 24, 1925 to the late John Vincil Ray and Elsie Mae Donaho Krippendorf. He was a proud WWII U.S. Navy Veteran and retired civil engineer from Randolph AFB. Vincil was a member of the Cowboy Church in Marion. He was predeceased by his first wife Bonnie Byrom Krippendorf, in 1983, and second wife Genevieve Hohmann Krippendorf in 2006, twin sister, Gwendolyn Faye Danish in 2003. Ray is survived by three sons, Don Krippendorf of Somerset, Larry (Melody) Krippendorf of New Braunfels, and John (Katrina) Krippendorf of Freeport; two step-sons, Bill (Susan) Parish; Jim (Marian) Parish; six grandchildren: Donnie Jr. (Audrey) Krippendorf of Somerset; Dennis (Kristi Krippendorf) of Knoxville, TN; Larry Jr. (Laura) , Melanie (Cody) Mueller both of New Braunfels; John Jr. (Nicole) Krippendorf of Alberta, Canada, and Autumn (Lynn) Gordon of Channelview; six step-grandchildren, a sister, Cora Nell (Norman) Fournier of San Antonio and 11 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. and the funeral service will be held on Friday, January 27 at 1:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery #2 (Rose Lawn).
