Alberta Wright, 74, went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2020. She was born in Virginia Beach, VA to the late Herbert and Sue Billups. Alberta was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Virginia Beach. She loved fishing, cooking and shopping. Alberta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was always sincere, understanding and loving to all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 45 years, Maurice L. Wright; son Maurice A. Wright (Johnita); daughter Sylvia Riddick (James); daughter-in-law Kim Ramirez; brother Clarence Billups; sister Betty Branch; 7 grandchildren, Deandos Billups, Dominic Boyd, Kasey Boyd, Choice Boyd, Shyrice Wright, Sherika Wright, and Malika Wright; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Kenneth C. Boyd; brothers, Lawrence Billups, Lee Billups, Tommy Billups, Herbert Billups, Jr, Robert Billups and Russell Billups; sister Eunice Billips; and grandson, Maurice A. Wright, Jr.
