Another one of the "Greatest Generation" has passed from our arms to the arms of God. Antoinette S. Swartz met her Heavenly Lord on August 4, 2022 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by her husband, Cdr. Alex E. Swartz Sr. (Ret. USN).
Formerly from Pennsylvania, she was a military wife and was last stationed in Virginia Beach. Here, she raised her children: Beverly Parent (husband,Gerry), Alex Swartz Jr. (wife, Becky), William Swartz (wife,Dina) and Timothy Swartz (partner,Tracy Gales). Toni had five grandchildren and was blessed to have great grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic, loving mother and grandmother who always sent you on your way with a treat or snack. Birthday cards came with coins taped inside indicating your age. At the end of each phone call, she always gave reminders to "give each other a hug." Her hugs will be missed.
In her memory, please do an act of kindness. Visitation with the family is Wednesday, August 10th 6-8 pm at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home 601 N. Witchduck Rd. Virginia Beach. A private service will be held by her immediate family.
