Born on August 26, 1936, in Oklahoma, Bob joined the U.S. Navy in 1955 which brought him to Virginia Beach. Bob married Helen Smith in 1958. Together, they raised three children and enjoyed a life full of adventure and love. Bob had a passion for accumulating and studying the history of a variety of collectables. Bob is survived by his children, Michael, Dennis and Jackie; his brothers and sisters (Leroy, Sonny, Peggy and Patsy); and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Hillian.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 13, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 14, 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. Following the service, a graveside service will take place at Rosewood Memorial Park, where Bob will be laid to rest.
Bob’s kind spirit, generosity, and compassion touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
