Carol Allen Fields

Carol Fields passed away on October 31, 2024. She was born on February 19, 1937 to the late John and Annie Allen in Manteo, North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, W. Glenn Fields and son, Steven A. Fields.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherri L. Fields; three grandchildren, Tyler Soady and his wife, Elizabeth; Hunter Soady and Brooke Soady and her husband, Virgil Stonecypher; her sister Suzanne Duvall as well as many nieces and nephews.

Carol was a long-time member of Indian River Baptist Church in Chesapeake Va., where she served many years as head of their Homebound Ministry, did crafts with the children for Bible School each year, and served as secretary in her Sunday school class.

Friends and family members described her as one of the most loving, caring, and beautiful souls they have ever known. She was known for her "famous" sweet tea, delicious chocolate cake, silly sense of humor and willingness always help anyone in need. She will truly be missed by all those whose life she has touched over the years.
