A Virginia Beach native, Cory graduated from Cox High School Class of 2009. He was attending Tidewater Community College and was on the Dean’s list last semester. Cory battled and overcame cancer and paralysis with amazing strength and courage. He loved to bowl and never met a stranger.
Survivors include his mother, Vickie P. Dyer, his father, James G. Dyer, a brother, Ryan Dyer, maternal grandparents, Phil and Jean Patenaude; paternal grandmother, Maryann Herrmann; his girlfriend, Brittany Jantti and his four month old puppy, Coda. He will be deeply missed by many extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, 4:00 p.m., April 11, 2011 at Princess Anne Memorial Park.
