Delbert G. Chambers, 85, son of Merle Chambers and Viola Patterson Chambers, was welcomed into Heaven, God’s presence and His Lord and Saviour on April 8, 2017. His loving family beside him, wife, Mary Jo Arrowood Chambers; son, Daniel Lee, wife Irene, granddaughter Melissa; daughter, Theresa Jo Cross, husband Richard, step grandsons, Andrew, wife Cindy, two step great granddaughters, Andrea and Abigail, step grandson, Tim; daughter, Cyndy Lou Jacks, husband Timothy, grandson Justin, wife Kristen, great grandson Logan.
Predeceased by his parents, brother and three sisters, many nieces and nephews.
He worked for 31 years at NAS Norfolk, four years USN electronic supervisor and eighteen years at Enterprise Rent a Car. He was a dedicated, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a dedicated, child of God, serving and loving Jesus since 1963 in many ways, Bible teacher, deacon, Gideons. Most of all a winner of souls to God thru Jesus Christ.
There will be a service at 2pm, Wednesday at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with a visitation starting at 1pm. Interment will follow the service at Rosewood Memorial Park. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
