Doris Upton Craddock-Cross, age 94, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Henry W. Craddock and Arthur D. Cross. She was also preceded by her son, Ronnie Craddock.
In her younger life, Doris loved to work with children. She drove a school bus for Virginia Beach City Public Schools for over 40 years. She was an active member in her church and taught kindergarten children for many years. Doris loved kids and in turn was a loving mother and grandmother. She was affectionately known as Mema.
Doris is survived by her two loving daughters, Cindy Craddock Stelzner and her family: Ashley Ward, Holly Beiler and Charlie Ward; and Debbie Craddock Selby and her family: Jennifer Daisey and Steve Tyler. She also has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. A funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. A graveside service will take place at Rosewood Memorial Park and a reception will follow.
