Dorothy Helen Edwards, 90, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on October 12, 2021. She was born on February 8, 1931, in Southampton, New York, to the late Mary and Matthew Rewinski. She was one of eleven children. Dorothy was preceded in death by her son-in-law Henry S. Proescher. Jr.; son George Herbert Edwards, Jr.; and her loving husband, George, of 67 years. George and Dorothy married on a beautiful day, 3rd of January, 1953, at Our Lady of Poland Catholic Church, Southampton, NY. Dad is so happy his bride has joined him.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Diane Proescher of Virginia Beach, and Linda Asbell and her husband Jim of SC; grandson Darrell Asbell and his wife Martha of CA; and great grandson, Beckham Mateo Asbell of CA; sister Louise Grodski of Southampton, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
Recently Dorothy was able to meet her great grandson, Beckham, which was a tremendous joyous occasion and was looking forward to meeting her great granddaughter to arrive in January.
