He is predeceased by his father Elbert E. Black. Also predeceased by his grandparents Yvonna and Jaime Santos and great-grandparents David and Lois Beck.
He is survived by his loving mother Sharon; three admiring siblings David (Chelsea), Stephen (Danielle), & Krystal; caring grandparents Carolyn and Elbert; a nephew David II, a niece Vivian, an Aunt Karen (Crystal) and an Uncle Jaime. Eddie was born May 6, 1987 to the late Elbert and Sharon Black in Virginia Beach, Va.
He was the oldest of four children. At a young age Eddie began playing baseball at Aragona Pembroke little league, where his father and mother coached his teams. Eddie quickly realized he had a passion and the skill for the game. He succeeded well in becoming an All-star player and team-mate. In 2003 his team won District and State, unfortunately they lost Regionals. His love and passion for baseball remained with him throughout his life. As a young adult he traveled around the country and dwelled in many states and different cities. During his journeys across the states he made an unforgettable impression on those he met, creating ever-lasting bonds. Eddie was that guy who always kept in touch no matter the distance or the circumstance. He loved and cared for all animals, especially his two dogs Reptar and Burg.
He was an avid artist and writer. Eddie could bring a blank canvas to life in a matter of minutes with his strong creative mind. He used his drawings and paintings as a means of expression of his personality. The talented nature of his character shows through his poetic writing and music. With his flow and the soft rasp of his voice, he wasn’t afraid to express himself lyrically. He was a free spirit with an open mind, whose main goal in life was to make every occasion a memorable one. Love radiated from Eddie’s heart and anyone who came in contact with him developed a lasting relationship. He was admired by many family and friends especially by his brothers and sister. His beautiful soul lives on through his family, friends, artwork and music. His memory will be cherished by all.
