Edward Loraine Reese, 93, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II and participated in the Normandy Invasion. Distinguished awards include the Purple Heart and the Combat Infantry Badge. Following the war, Ed worked for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and later, the U.S. Postal Service from which he retired.
Ed is survived by his wife Simone; his sons, Lee and Larry Reese; step-children, Nicole Kilby, Diane Perret, and Stephen Reynolds; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Rosewood Memorial Park in the Chapel of Serenity, 631 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans. Online condolences may be made at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
