Elbert “Jack” Jackson, 87, passed away in Virginia Beach. Jack was born in Washington, NC to the late Robert and Erma Jackson. He is also predeceased by his brother, Robert Lewis and two children, Steven and Terry Jackson. He served in the US Air Force and later retired from the Virginia Beach Police Department. Jack was also a past president of the Fraternal Order of Police as well. He can best be described as easy going with a humorous personality. He will be truly missed by all. Jack is survived by his wife, Shirley Jackson; son, Donnie Jackson; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
There will be a visitation from 5-7pm, Friday evening at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. There will be a service in the Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home chapel starting at 2pm, Saturday with a burial to follow in the Chapel of Serenity at Rosewood Memorial Park.
