On Tuesday, March 23, 2021, Elizabeth “Liz” Mae Griswold peacefully passed away to heaven.
Liz was born in Norfolk, VA to Margaret and Otho Rountree. Predeceased by both her parents and her brother George Rountree. Liz worked at Norfolk Yacht & Country Club for many years.
Survived by her loving husband, Wayne “Don” Griswold, her son, Ralph Sullivan, Jr. (Theresa), daughter, Kimberly Siddens (Doug), stepdaughters, Kelly Magee (Bobby) and Wendy Hackworth (Charles), her brother, Jack Rountree (Shirley), her sister, Sandra Tebault, ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
Liz’s greatest joy in life was spending time and taking care of her family. She truly cherished her grandchildren. As a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, Liz enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and planting flowers. Liz especially enjoyed traveling with her husband and she was a wonderful cook.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 5 to 7 pm at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home.
A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 2, 2:00 pm at the funeral home and interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
