Ethel Joyce Bocardi-Briers, 91, left this world at 5:28am, April 15, 2015 in Virginia Beach. She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, CPO Earl E. Briers, Jr.; daughter, Jay "Lolly" Toomoth; grandson, Robert E. Perry; sister, Arleen Dawn Brooks; granddaughter, Tracy Dawn Dickson; niece, Lisa Brooks; mother, Ethel Bocardi; and father, Joseph M. Bocardi. She is survived by daughters, Janet Briers (VB), Judy Briers-Clendenin, son-in-law, Stephen S. Clendenin (CA), and Joanie Lacey (NC); grandchildren, Sandra and Joyce Perry of VB, Felisa Strickland and Brenda Edwards of CA, Jason and Jaymi Toomoth, Michael S. Dickson (NC), Gina M. Brooks (VA); 10 great-grandchildren; 3great-great-grandchildren.A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Rosewood Memorial Park.
