Generosa Pascual Lagoc, 72, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 29, 2015. She was born on July 17, 1942 in Nueva Cieja, Philippines. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Soliman A. Lagoc, Sr., to whom she had been married forty-six years.
Generosa leaves behind to cherish her memory three sons: Soliman A. Jr. (Pamela), Mark A. (Elaine), James A. (Amy); four grandchildren: Soliman, Nina, Rowan, Olivia, and a fifth grandchild due the beginning of June; a brother and sisters in the Philippines; and many close friends in the Hampton Roads area.
Generosa served as a registered nurse for over forty years, retiring in 2007 from the Spinal Cord Injury Ward at the Veteran’s Hospital in Hampton. As her name reflects, Generosa was a kind and generous woman, always serving others. May her life of service encourage others to do the same.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 6-8pm with a 7pm service at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015, 10:00AM at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 5345 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. Friends may offer condolences at www.kellumfuneralhome.com
