Gloria O. Solis

Our loving mother was a very unique, witty, caring, and a very special mother and grandmother to her entire family. Family and friends will remember Grandma Solis, who would not just cater to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren but to anyone else that she met or whoever else she encountered. Our mother loved to socialize with her friends and was shopping buddies with her daughters. She enjoyed exercise and ceramics.

She now joins her husband, Jose Solis; mother and father Lastania and Antonio Ostrea; and brothers, Tony, Tito, and Richard Ostrea.

Our mother will never be forgotten by all our family members forever. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Brenda Palaszewski (Edward), Nanette Broughman, Eddie Solis (Nancy), Larry Solis Sr. (Bonnie), Joseph Solis (Sandra); 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers, Rudolph and Bobby Ostrea; and sisters, Yvonne Hendricks and Nadia Fong.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heartland Home Health and Patti Beane, caregiver.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home.
