Herman Lee Long, 84, born in Delaware to Herman and Mabel Long, passed away on November 9, 2014. He proudly served in the U.S.M.C. for 20 years, having fought in the Korean War, earning a Purple Heart and many other medals.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gladys; son, Mike Long (Cathy; daughter, Debra Cain (Tommy); grandchildren, Michael Long(Whitney), Bryan Long (Jennifer), Tonya Cain, and Michelle Schuster (Seth); great-grandchildren, Erica, Tyler, Myles, Tavion, Addison , Grayson, Aniyah, Peyton, William, Brooklyn, and Hunter; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at (time) on (date) at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to St. John’s UMC at 2709 Greendale Ave. in Norfolk, VA 23518, or the Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society.
