John was born September 11, 1951. He was a retired contractor. He enjoyed playing golf and baseball, and playing piano.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ivo Christine Gaut, and a brother Kenneth Gaut.
Family members include his wife of 45 years, Pamela Gaut, two children, Catherine Tippett, husband Jeff Tippett, and Alyson Gaut and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Nathan Tippett.
A celebration of life will be held September 13th from 5 to 7 PM at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home at 601 North Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach.
