Kenneth Lee Sympson of Norfolk, Virginia passed away on March 7, 2024 at the age of 66. He was born October 21, 1957 in Chelsea, MA. Ken served in the US Navy and worked for Ethan Allen for many years in the warehouse and delivery. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing his guitar, watching various tv shows, was an avid NASCAR fan and loved classic rock music. Ken was a real life Dr. Dolittle as wildlife and domestic animals were drawn to him. He was a very friendly guy that never knew a stranger. He was easy going, compassionate and generous to the point he would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. Ken always remembered birthdays, anniversaries and new or obscure holidays.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edwina Helen Sympson and a brother, Brian D. Sympson.
Left to cherish his memory are his father, Charles W. Sympson; sister, Lesley Sympson; brother, Christopher C. Sympson (Margaret); and nephew, Samuel C. Sympson.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home.
