Larry Alan Davis

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Davis and Frank & Helen Coles and two sisters Connie Herndon and Karen Williams.

Leaving to remember him include his loving wife of 47 years Linda Joy Davis; a son Troy Alan Davis and his wife Monica Davis; his granddaughter Kayla Davis; his great grandson David Irvin Jr; his bonus grandkids Alyssa Pentz, Auburn Davis and Trent Davis; his bonus great grandkids Kaira, Jaxson and Aurora Pentz, siblings Robert Davis, Pamela Davis and Lorie Kerekgyarto; his brother in law Tim Starkey and wife Jackie along with many nieces and nephews.

Larry was a hard working and dedicated employee at BAE Shipyard for 44 years as a Marine Chemist. He retired 3 years ago.

Larry loved spending time with his wife Linda. He was a devoted and faithful husband. They would take walks together, he would take her to appointments and shopping. He also really liked cooking for her. Larry liked learning new things and listening to documentaries and sharing any information with cashiers and nurses whenever they would listen. He loved finding great deals on cars or trucks and then driving them until he could replace them with another one. He enjoyed fishing when he had free time. Larry also loved many pets throughout the years.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020, 1:00 p.m. at Vineyard Community Church 4444 Expressway Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. A graveside service will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. and a reception will follow at the home of Troy and Monica Davis at 2:30p.m.
