I did not have the honor of knowing Leticia Calo, but I have had the honor of knowing her remarkable son, Bevan, who has become my dear friend.  She has raised him to become the kind of man every mother aspires to bring into this world.  I am saddened by the loss that Bevan and his family must endure at this time.  But I am grateful for the time she could be here, and for the beautiful blessings she left us.

Dear Kuya Rolly,

Rosalyn told me that Ate Letty had passed away. It was such a surprise to me when I heard about it. I understand how painful this must be for you and your kids...

I will miss Ate Letty for her warmth friendship and kindness.... Besides that she was a good cook you know. She gave me her secret recipe on how to make a delicious "palabok," [looks like a spaghetti version but it is not]. I remember those time when we chitchat together in Rosalyn's house while everyone was busy singing Karaoke. We talked and shared stories... We were gigling together that time. ;) Oh I just miss Ate Letty... She was very special to me!

Kuya Rolly, just please be comforted by the thought that many family and friends hold fond memories of Ate Letty. I know by heart, she touched all their lives.

The bright side is Ate Letty is in heaven now with Jesus Christ. No more pain, no more sickness, no sorrow and no more tears... She's very happy there.

Kuya Rolly, you know I considered you as family/a very close friend, for always and forever. Even I am not in Virginia, I am only here a phone call away. It would be such a blessing if you would call on me for any help you need. I will be there in Virginia next week at Rosalyn's house. I will be there for 5 days. Until then, if there is anything I can do, please let me know. 

As a courtesy, we [Rosalyn and I] will call you first before we will decide to come and visit you because I know you do not want surprise visit, and I will respect that.

I have only known Bevan for less than a year, but if he is a reflection of the warmth and kindness embodied in his mother, she must have been an incredible woman and I will be honored to join in the celebration of her life.

I had the pleasure of celebrating Leticia's birthday this year - and in those few moments saw a woman full of life, joy and charisma. Her son Bevan reflects those same amazing attributes and I'm honored to call him a friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this journey of grief. God bless you!

May the love of God surround the Calo Family during this time of sorrow.

I will be generous with my time for my loved ones;
I will see the world as she loved to;
I will enjoy the simple things, unburdened by the material or unnecessary;
I will discard the negative, the spiteful, and the judgmental;

I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sure your mom's spirit will live on in your heart. I pray that God will give you much strength, comfort and peace that He can only provide as you learn to live with your mom in a different way. She made the journey home and is looking in the eyes of GLORY! That's something to celebrate even in the midst of your sorrow. I will continue to pray for you. I never had the pleasure to meet Leticia Calo personally, but over the past 3 years I have had the honor to get to know her son Bevan.  He is a true inspiration and positive influence in my life and the world at large and any person like that is the result of a wonderful upbringing by a great and loving mother.  I am so sorry to the Calo family for their loss.  May her memory live on in each of you as it does in her son Bevan.  God bless her and her entire family.

Ate Letty, you are the best ate I have here in Virginia.  You taught me from baking & family facts.  We have such a good memories together.  We will be missing your sweet smile, the laugh you make, & most of all your gentle loving care to all of us.  We know you that you already in the  kingdom of God.  Where's there's no pain, & sorrow.  We love you so much.  Rest in Peace ate Letty.

We met Ate Letty sometime last year.  She was always cheerful and very kind.  May God Bless her soul.  Rest In Peace Ate Letty.

I did not know Leticia Calo, but I know her son. A man who inspires me every day to be a positive influence on the world. A man who stretches me to be something more than I am each and every day. A man like this could only come from a woman even more amazing. I am sorry for the loss you all are facing, and pray that God will give you peace through this time. We love you and are here for you if you need anything.
