

Linda Faye Faircloth, at the age of 84, went to be with the Lord on the evening of March 2, 2024, surrounded by family in her home located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was born on March 17, 1939, in Duke, North Carolina and was the daughter of Everett and Susie Grimes. She was married to David G. Faircloth, and they shared 61 years of marriage. Their love spilled over and produced four children.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and Granny. She is gone from this world but will never be forgotten. She was sweet, calm, and loving. Her hugs, kisses, giggle, and well-loved sayings will greatly be missed, but will live on in our memories. She truly loved her family and always put them first.
She is survived by two siblings and their spouses, Stephen and Cindy Grimes and Rhonda and Jerry Melvin, three children and their spouses, David K. Faircloth(son), Tonya S. and Robert Roberts (daughter and son-in-law), Tony P. and Ellie Faircloth (son and daughter-in-law), one son-in-law Bernard Hughes, seven grandchildren and their spouses Renee and Joe Mills, Terri and Eli Etheridge, William and Erica Roberts, Sheena and Shaq Shakeel, Shannon and Tony Colon, Jenny Bodnar, and Richard Caulk, nine great-grandchildren and spouse Halie and Kody Thornton, Johnathan Etheridge, Aidan Roberts, Gavin Roberts, Elaina Roberts, Adalyn Shakeel, Sophia Shakeel, Dexter Shakeel, and Ethan Shakeel, 1 great-great-grandchild Tucker Thornton.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Everett and Susie Grimes: siblings, Connie Edwards and Nina Haire, husband, David G. Faircloth; daughter, Linda C. Hughes; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Faircloth; two grandchildren, Zachariah Hughes and Tony “TJ” Faircloth Jr.
A visitation for Linda will be held Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462. A celebration of life will occur Monday, March 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462. It was her request that all attendees wear beautiful colors, so no black please.
