Linda Leigh Parsons

Linda Leigh Parsons, 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. Parsons, Jr. and Doris H. Parsons. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Nanney, and her sister-in-law, Suzie Parsons. Linda was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, friend, and caregiver whose kindness touched the lives of many.

She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Linda was active in the Women’s Crafters Group. She was also a member of The Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 4809. Her faith and love of family were important parts of her life, nurturing lifelong friendships and offering her opportunities to serve others.

Linda retired from DePaul Medical Center, where she worked as a nurse’s aide. She especially loved her time in the nursery, caring for the youngest patients with tenderness and patience. Caring for others came naturally to her—whether for friends, family members, or anyone in need. Her gentle presence and selfless nature were gifts she shared freely throughout her life.

Linda is survived by her four brothers: Louis Parsons, John Parsons (Pam), Ralph Parsons (Beth), and Bobby Parsons (Frank). She is also survived by her best friend, Leondra Stallings, and by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and many cousins. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 at the funeral. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
