Loretta was born in Norfolk on December 12th,1961 to Arthur and Judith “Patricia” Gates. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her father-in-law, William “Eddie” Brown Sr.
In her younger years, Loretta was an avid pool player and known by many as the best bartender around. Later in life, she found great joy working at Princess Anne High School in the cafeteria, students and staff would flock in just to see her kind and smiling face.
Loretta had a great passion for Capitals Hockey, collecting curiosities, all different facets of music and dogs, especially her boy Sampson. She was the greatest crafter known to most, with the ability to create masterpieces from nothing at all. Loretta had a personality larger than life, was always ready for an adventure, and had the most giving heart. She had a strength that was unmatched, an unparalleled work ethic and a true calling for helping others. Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 30 years, William “Billy” Brown Jr, her daughter Lorelei (Billy) and her son Nathan (Samantha), her grandchildren Taylor, Madison, Benjamin and Zachary, her sisters Jude (Larry), Debbie and Becky (Cedric), her mother-in-law Faye, her sister-in-law Lindy and a wealth of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, all of whom she loved dearly. The family would like to extend a huge thank you to all who have given their love and support.
