Malichi Faison Jr. was born 22 May 1945 in Portsmouth, Virginia to Frances (Thompson) and Malichi Faison. On August 16, 1967 he married Yvonne Richardson from Nash County, North Carolina. Malichi was the proud owner of Faison General Contracting Company and New Life Paint Inc. for over 40 years.
Malichi is survived by his wife ,of 47 years, Yvonne Faison; his 6 children Bonita Faison, Francine Faison, Amelia Doudna (Faison), Malichi Faison III , Hezekiah Faison, and Zachariah Faison of Virginia Beach, VA; five grandchildren, Angelo, Frances, Ben, William, and Jasmin of Virginia Beach, VA.; sisters, Alice Williams of Tulsa Oklahoma, Ann Moody of New York; bothers James Faison of Portland Oregon, and Otis Williams of Bountan NC; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Malichi and Frances and his sister Delores Williams.
A celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 12:00PM with a visitation from 11:00AM-12:00PM at Rock Church, 640 Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach, VA. 23464. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
