Margaret G. Darling

Margaret G. Darling, 84, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 in Norfolk. Margaret was born on December 20, 1929 in Blockton, Iowa to the late Boyd and Gladys Gray. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Kenneth Darling, her son, Allyn Darling, her daughter, Linda Darling and other family members, Brandon Smith, Burl Gray, Paul Gray, Lorraine Cooley and Marcelline Foote. She was a former member of the Ferebee Halstead UMC and a current member of the Aldersgate UMC. In 1946 she married the love of her life, Kenneth Darling and spent many years taking care of him and her family. In her spare time she loved ceramics, crafts and bowling.

She is survived by her children, Marylin Joyce Savaria of Woonsocket, RI and Robin Eileen Kircheval and her husband, John Douglas Kircheval of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Kellie Woyner of Virginia Beach, Kevin Kircheval of Gainesville, FL, Patricia Tsouvalos and Deborah Savaria both of Woonsocket, RI; three brothers, Glen Gray of Independence, MO, Jim Gray of Odessa, MO and Drexel Gray of Glendale, AZ; two sisters, Opal Fisher of Grant City, MO and Elaine Schoenhorst of Independence, MO; six great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and her beloved cat, Snickers.

A visitation will be from 6-8, Wednesday evening at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted at 3pm, Thursday at Rosewood Memorial Park with the Rev. Tony Forstall officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made out in memory of Margaret to a local SPCA. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
