A native of Princess Anne County, Mrs. Greer was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Curles, her husband Bishop Roy Carl Greer, a daughter Darlene Bonnie Klag; a brother and five sisters.
Mrs. Greer was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Norfolk Ward. She was employed with Colonial Stores in Norfolk as meat wrapper and served as a Union Representative for many years. She had an entrepreneurial drive, owning and operating the large Flea Markets in VB on Independence Blvd and the Shore Drive old out-doors theater. She saw a need to have a food truck serving the Flea Markets, as well as various construction sites throughout Tidewater (Hampton Roads area).
Survivors: a son Ezra Vann Stone, Jr. (Companion – Katherine Galloway); 2 daughters Veda Stone-Goff (Charles); Marygail Harper; 3 grandchildren Joey Harper, Vanessa Stone and Rachel Alderman; 4 great grandchildren Oliver Alderman, Braxton Harper, Emerson Harper and Grayson Harper; 3 nieces, 4 nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 17th, visitation 10:00am, funeral 11:00 am, reception at noon at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
