

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Murray Koehler, a beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, who left this world on August 9,2025 at the age of 78. Margaret was born in Mt. Kisco, New York, to Norbert J(Bert). and Adeline Deborah (Debbie) Murray on October 11, 1946.
She lived life with laughter, love and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
These qualities shone brightly as she embarked on her professional journey, dedicating her career to Westchester County NYS ARC, where she made significant contributions in support of individuals with disabilities. One of the families’ fond memories of when Margaret would bring the ladies in her care to visit and meet her family in the Catskill Mountains to give the ladies a wonderful outing.
Margaret is survived by her son Johnny Koehler and his life partner, Ginger Anderson, her sisters Barbara Quick, Carol Corsa ,Linda Burkhardt and her husband Fred ,her brother Lawrence J Murray and his wife Helen and cherished nieces and nephews including Barbara’s children Debbi Prazynski(David) ,Hoppy Quick, Linda O’Keefe(Charles), Dawn Giuditta(Jack) Caroline Corsa’s children Rich, Laurie Roosa(Rich) and Billy, Linda and Fred Burkhardt’s children Bridgett Driscoll(Michael) Tracy Magarelli (Damien) Patrick Burkhardt(Jeannine, Amanda Ferro(John) and Andrew Burkhardt (Carly), Lawrence and Helen Murray daughter Helen.
Additionally, she was the proud great aunt to over 20 great and grand nieces and nephews who she cherished.
Margaret is predeceased by her parents, Bert and Debbie Murray, Brothers-in -law Richard Corsa and Howard(Hoppy) Quick who welcomed her into their hearts with love and affection. Their memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of the family.
In her later years Margaret moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia to live with her son Johnny and Ginger where she was loved and cherished and embraced new friendships. Her compassion and resilience were particularly evident during her health challenges. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice for the exceptional care they provided to their beloved Margaret during her final days, ensuring she was surrounded by comfort and love.
A graveside service will be held on September 2, 2025, at 2:00pm at Bethel Cemetery in Croton-on-Hudson NY, where Margaret will be laid to rest among her family. In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made to Hospice of your choice, in Margaret’s name, an organization that provided invaluable support to Margaret, reflecting her spirit and caring for others.
