Mary B Cullen

Mary Brown Cullen, 89, went home to be with the Lord on March 22, 2012. She was born on July 31, 1922 in Colerain, NC to the late Phillip H. and Nina M. Brown. Mrs. Cullen retired from the Naval Supply Center in Norfolk, VA after 30 years of service. She was a member of DeBaun Memorial Baptist Church for over 50 years of service. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank M. Cullen, Jr.; sisters, Louise Brown, Miriam Kirby, and Nina Lineberry; and her brother, Phillip Brown.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Beth Clifton (Ed) of Chesapeake, VA; her son, Marshall Cullen (Pat) of Elk Grove, CA; sister, Reva Jones of Chesapeake; and brothers, Joseph Brown of Dayton, OH and William Brown of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by grandchildren, David Dalton, Charles Clifton, Carrie Richards, Leslie Howell, and Scott Cullen. She was beloved “Big MeMaw” to her 9 great grandchildren.

The funeral services and burial will be private. The family will receive friends at their home on Sunday, March 25, 2012 after 2:00 pm.
