Mildred Hotalen

Mildred H. Hotalen, 80, passed away on February 20, 2021. She was born on October 6, 1940 to the late Willard and Mildred Richardson in Florence, South Carolina. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Bubba and Donnie. Being a child of a military family, she moved from SC and grew up in Norfolk, VA. She graduated from Norview High School. As a member of the Baptist Community, she enjoyed playing the piano and was a member of the GA's Girls In Action and a member of Jobe's Daughter. She is survived by her husband, Robert Hotalen; children, Michael, Darlene, Alvin, Anita and Allison; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and sister, Sarah. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 1 pm with a visitation one hour prior at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA.
