It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of a beloved matriarch, Myrtle Stout, on November 13, 2023. Born on December 29, 1935, Myrtle lived through much of the last century, her life a fabric of rich experiences, family bonds, and simple joys.
Myrtle's life was blessed with the presence of many loving family members. She is survived by her son, Richard Stout (Lisa Roland); grandchildren Kristin Hohlt (Ed), George "Sonny" Washburn, IV (Jana), Harmony Washburn, Taylor Roland, Garret Roland, and great grandson George "V" Washburn, V.; sister-in-law Diane Burnsed and niece Jamie Miller (Jeremy). A cornerstone of her family, Myrtle was predeceased by her husband, MCPO Andew "Jerry" Stout, daughter, Cathy Chester, and brother, James "Jimmy" Burnsed, Jr.
Those who knew Myrtle will remember her best for her love of family. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them. Her home was her sanctuary, where she loved watching the birds and waterfowl from the creek behind her house. These simple pleasures brought her great joy, and her tranquility in these moments was a testament to her appreciation for life's everyday blessings.
In honor of Myrtle's amazing life and unwavering spirit, a funeral service will be held on December 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM. The service will take place at the Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, where family, friends, and loved ones will gather to share memories and celebrate the life of this wonderful woman.
As we mourn the loss of Myrtle Stout, we also celebrate the life of a woman who loved deeply, lived fully, and found joy in the simple beauty of the world. We invite all who knew her to join us in remembering her life, her love, and her lasting impact.
