Ollie "Toby" Young

Ollie (Toby) Young, born in Grundy, VA. to Bessie & Smokey Sliger on February 10, 1939. Passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, at the age of 85. Toby was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Leaving behind memories of love, laughter, and life lessons from her long happy life. Toby was a hard-worker and instilled great work ethics in her children. She always supported her family in anything they set out to do. Toby worked in retail, including Peoples, Rite-Aid and 7-11. But, her favorite job was being a mother. She adored all of her fur-babies and treated them like her children. Toby loved the Green Bay Packers, Westerns, and Hallmark movies. She also loved her sweets! Always had cakes and donuts on the table and candy in the candy dish.

Toby is survived by her daughters Angel Sander and husband Jim Sander and Terry Sylvia. Her sons Bill Hardison, Jr. and Dave Hardison and wife Michelle Waterfield. Six grandsons Bill III, David, Nate, Chris, Jimmy, and Danny. Three granddaughters Dawn, Katrina and Terry. Four great grandchildren Serena, Savannah, Holdyn, and Journey; and sister, Ann Rammach and husband Mike Rammach. She was predeceased by husbands William Howard Hardison, Sr. and Jessie L. Young; her parents Bessie and Smokey Sliger; and sister Della Conners.

Rest in Peace, Toby, forever 39! Your legacy of love, kindness, strength, and life lessons will live in our hearts.

As were Toby's wishes, there will be no service. Her loved ones will remember her in their own way.
