Paul was a dedicated and hardworking individual who spent his career as a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic at the Norfolk Naval Base. He took great pride in his work until his retirement in 2007. His passion for mechanics extended beyond his professional life, as he greatly enjoyed working on cars, particularly muscle cars, in his spare time.
Above all else, Paul was an amazing husband and a great father. He was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with his loved ones. His kindness and willingness to help others were hallmarks of his character, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, George Shakallis and Vivian Koussos. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Joanne Shakallis; his two sons, Scotty and Ricky; his brother, Michael Shakallis; and his grandchildren, Brooklyn and Savannah. His family will forever hold dear the memories of his love, guidance, and unwavering support.
Paul's legacy of love and dedication to family will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
