

Rachael was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was centered around her family and her faith. Her kitchen was a place of comfort and celebration, often hosting family gatherings for holidays and celebrations. She took immense joy in cooking and baking, always ensuring her loved ones were well-fed and cherished. Her nurturing spirit extended to her role as a caretaker, taking care of her husband prior to his passing and supporting and guiding her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Rachael was a woman of faith, whose spiritual convictions guided her daily life and inspired her service to others. She was a member of several churches throughout her life with her current membership at New Creation United Methodist Church. While able, she gave generously of her time to organizations that reflected her values of compassion, fellowship and community. Her community involvement included the Order of the Eastern Star, International Order of Job’s Daughters, DeMolay, Band Parents, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Food Closets and Altar Guilds. She also found great joy in bird watching, a pastime that reflected her gentle spirit and love of nature.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Carson Cartwright; her parents Christie Thomas and Rachel England Christiansen; her sisters Ellen Taylor and Alma O'Shields; and her brothers Christie Allen Christiansen and Thomas Christiansen.
She is survived by her three children: Carson Thomas Cartwright (Teresa Lynn), Melinda Davis (Jon, deceased), and Andrew Cartwright. Her memory will also be cherished by her four grandchildren: Christina Joy Bowyer (Barry), Christopher Truckner (Natasha), Sara Davis, and Rebecca Davis, as well as her four great-grandchildren: Mason Davis, Madison Bowyer, Peyton Truckner, and Lily Truckner. Additionally, she is fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.
Rachael's life was a testament to grace, devotion, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
