Suk Cha Kim, 82, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born in South Korea to the late Gui Jun Kim and Gi Yeon Kang . When she was 42 , Suk came to the United States and became a U.S citizen. She was an entrepreneur, owning many businesses through out her life including a beauty supply store for many years. Suk was a long time member of Virginia Korean United Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Young Dong Kim.
Left to cherish her memory are 3 children, Seok Hyon Kim (Jeong Hee) of Newport News, Hye Jeong Kim (Duk Sun Jin) of Virginia Beach, and Chol Hyon Kim (Sangeun) of Virginia Beach; 3 grandchildren, Ji Yeon Kim of Newport News, Ju Yeon Kim of Newport News, and Song Won Jin of Virginia Beach; 2 sisters, Ouk Sun Kim and Young Aea Kim of South Korea; and 1 brother, Heung Sik Kim of South Korea.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home
