Teresa Elliott Neal

Teresa Elliott Neal passed away on July 12, 2014 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was born on April 4, 1925 in Rich Square, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late George Franklin Elliott and Cora Cash Elliott. Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Earl Warren Neal her childhood sweetheart and five sisters and one brother. She grew up in Norfolk and resided in Virginia Beach, Virginia for 54 years. After graduating from Maury High School she married Warren Neal at First Baptist Church in 1944. Teresa was a loyal member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church where she faithfully served as a teacher for 25 years in the Preschool Kindergarten. She was active in the WMU and the senior choir and a volunteer working at the church, visiting Nursing Facilities. She was a beloved wife, a very caring mother and grandmother and great grandmother and a true friend. Teresa is survived by two sons Earl Warren Neal, Jr. his wife Susan, Wesley Gordon Neal and his wife Nancy Soscia, daughter Nancy “Nan” Neal Fisher and husband Lonnie all of Virginia Beach. She has two grandchildren Jennifer Neal Creasey and husband Joe, and Glen Dale Fisher and two great grandchildren, Brian Austin Creasey and Peyton Neal Creasey. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of many friends. Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home located at 601 N. Witchduck Rd.in Va. Beach will conduct a visitation from 10am-12pm, Friday, July 18, 2014. There will be a memorial service at Thalia Lynn Baptist Church at 11am, Saturday, August 16th, with a reception to follow at 12pm.
