Virginia Mae Persinger Wright passed away peacefully and went to be the the Lord on Friday, April 13, 2018 in Virginia Beach.
She was born on September 24, 1931 in Alleghany County, VA., to the late Olga Leota Persinger Shanks and Boyd A. Ervin of Alleghany County. She was married to the late Donald Emory Wright of Virginia Beach and mother of the late David Eugene Wright of Emporia, VA. She was preceded in death by her brothers Donald Persinger of Norfolk and Richard Shanks of Alleghany County.
Survivors include her son Dennis R. Wright, Sr., (Karen) of Virginia Beach; 4 grandchildren, Dennis Wright, Jr., (Alicia) of Virginia Beach, Sara Ashley Wright of Virginia Beach, David Eric Wright of Virginia Beach and Wendy Wagner of Portsmouth and 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Ruby "Polly" Thompson of Virginia Beach and Ethel Dudley of Eagle Rock, Va., and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home where a Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
