Maryte Leamy, 72, of Exeter, Rhode Island passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at West Shore Health Center, Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel Patrick Leamy, they were married for 52 years. Born in England, she was the daughter of the late Kazys and Jane E. (Hannah) Navakauskas.
Maryte was a coordinator of the medical records department at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence for over 30 years before retirement. She was a creative person who loved knitting, calligraphy, and cake decorating. Cooking was one of her favorite ways of expression and Sunday family dinners were a favorite time for her and Daniel. She loved her children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Mrs. Leamy leaves her daughters, Kerrie L. Place and her husband Allen of Saunderstown, RI, Jane E. Francis and her husband Joseph of Warwick, RI. Her adoring grandchildren, Colson and Hannah Place of Saunderstown, RI and Joseph and Abigail Francis of Warwick, RI. She also leaves her siblings, Jennie Gervelis, Kris Geary, Valerie Sheehan, John Navakauskas and his wife Ann, and Regina Cournoyer and her husband Mark. Maryte was sister of the late Ann Birute Gilbert.
Visitation from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick will be held Friday February 14, 2025 from 9:30-11:30 am followed by a funeral service at 11:30 am. Burial will be in the RI Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
