Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Frederick and Stella (Kurowski) Lizak.
William served our country honorably during the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Marine Corps, and was a purple heart recipient. Bill worked as an HVAC technician and mechanical engineer for National Refrigeration and Reed Refrigeration. He was a member of the American Legion Shields Post #43 and a FOP associate member of Warwick Lodge #7. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and was a member of Kings Crossing Golf Club in North Kingstown.
In addition to his wife Ann, he leaves several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Walter and Stella Belonos.
Calling hours will be Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rte. 117) Warwick. Burial with military honors will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 in his memory would be appreciated.
