Born in Providence and raised in West Warwick, he was the son of the late Raymond F. and Elizabeth M. (Weldon) Tallman
He spent more than 30 years dedicated to his work at Narragansett Electric as supervisor of substations before retiring in 2010. A man of Catholic faith, William was a family man above all, and welcomed multiple generations of dogs into his home.
He is survived by his siblings Sharon Tallman of Narragansett, RI, Jeanne Farrell of Virginia and brother Raymond Tallman of Florida, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, at 11 am, at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church. 864 Point Judith Rd, Narragansett. Burial in St. Francis Cementery, Pawtucket. Visitation, Wednesday from 5 – 8 pm in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home 142 Centerville Rd. Warwick.
