Alice Strick, age 99, fell asleep in death March 10, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Strick; parents Cornelius and Anna Cole; ten siblings Hermana, Adrian, Peter, Maude, Anna, John, Neil, Bette, Sena, and her twin sister, Evelyn.
She will be lovingly missed by her son, Craig Strick; daughter, Julie Hanes; daughter-in-law, Mary Smith; grandson, Jesse (Caitlin) Strick; granddaughters Nadja, Caryn (Jordan) Elam; great-grandchildren Brandon, Sam, Bella, Elliot, and Miles; great-great-grandson, Charlie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Alice loved gardening! Each year she would watch her beautiful spring flowerbed bloom and get ready to plant her huge veggie garden. She loved watching the plants grow and, even more so, enjoyed working with her hands in the soil - enjoying the produce she grew. Many times a gift of zucchini bread was sent off to someone to cheer them up or just to say, "I’m thinking about you." She was well known for being sweet and having a kind heart. She was also known for her faith and love for her God, Jehovah. His promise of a paradise Earth with pain and suffering being a thing of the past was something of which she often spoke. (Revelation 21:4) She looked forward to the day that her eyesight, hearing, and strength would be restored and she would once again be able to fully enjoy the color of flowers, songs of birds, and to plant her garden again. (Isaiah 35:5,6; Psalms 37:29) She confidently believed in the resurrection hope of paradise Earth. (Job 14:14, 15) We look forward to welcoming her back very soon! “The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” - John 11:25
