

Ann Christine Koelsch, age 62, passed away Monday, June 17, 2013. Ann was born on December 18, 1950 in Detroit to Donald B. Thomson and Laura (Foote, Thomson) Dixon. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Donald M. (Gloria) Thomson; niece, Lisa (Brian) Willcock; great nephews, Maclean and Cameron; Ann and John Dixon, and many cousins and friends, especially Phil Salingue. Ann was a huge part of the Gun Lake Community. She worked for National City Bank and PNC of Martin, MI. She had a Mary Kay business. She was an early advocate for the Gun Lake Protective Association and the Gun Lake Business Organization. Much of her volunteer time was given in service with the GFWC - Gun Lake Woman's Club. She was an early member joining in 1985. Ann served as President of the club from 1990-1992. She was voted Woman of Achievement of the Gun Lake Club in 2007 and Ms. Federation in 1987. She served the club and her community with participation in Community Dinners, Ad Sales for the Scholarship Committee and the Scholarship Dinner. She often hosted the evening GFWC - Gun Lake meetings for working woman. Ann was known for her sense of humor, her endless caring for others, her love of theatre, her participation in Anusara Yoga, her love of Zumba and for long, long walks with friends including a walk all the way around Gun Lake. Donations can be made to Barry County Hospice or to the GFWC - Gun Lake Scholarship Fund where they will be distributed in her name. A memorial service will be held at the Gun Lake Community Church at 11 a.m. on August 3, 2013. Ann will be interred at the Milford Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date.
