

Dorothy Ann Wykoski, age 91 of Wayland, reunited to dance in Heaven with her husband Harry on October 23, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Busia Eva Pawloski; and her brothers and sisters, Isabel Nausieda, Joseph Pawloski, Gene Pawloski, and Dolores Mazurkiewicz. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her children: Mary (Chris) Meehan, Robert (Susan) Wykoski, and Richard "Rick" (Stacey) Wykoski; her six grandchildren: Stefanie Schulze, Sarah (Tom) Carpenter, Adam (Abby) Laursen, Abby Wykoski, Hannah Wykoski, and Sean Wykoski; her sister-in-law Irene Pawloski; and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was one of the first women to begin work at General Motors as a Rosie Riveter during the war time. She was also a woman of deep faith and always trusted in the Lord. Along with her immense love of family, "Mother Superior" had a wonderful circle of friends and threw the best surprise parties. Friends may visit with her family on Monday, October 26, 2015, from 5-8 PM at St. Therese Catholic Church, Wayland, with a rosary service at 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 27, at 11 AM at St. Therese Catholic Church, Wayland, with an hour of visitation prior to Mass. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Grand Rapids. Donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to the Wayland Area Ambulance or St. Therese Catholic School.
